Who We Are

Owned and operated by Kim Bobb, Stags Bend is a small family farm tucked in the scenic woodlands of Westerville, Ohio. We are passionate about horse education, raising up the next generation of horsemen and teaching a love for the great outdoors. At Stags Bend we strive to create a community of horsemen and women that root for each other as we grow in our skills and relationships with the horses we cherish. Kim’s upbeat and positive attitude make her a fun coach to partner with on the journey to becoming a true equestrian.

The horses in our barn share a vast array of skills that make them wonderful partners to help our students achieve success.

Meet Our Team

Kim Bobb

Kim has more than 20 years of horse experience. The bulk of Kim’s competitive career has been spent Barrel Racing but her love for a challenge has her always looking for new and exciting things to try in the horse world. You can find her showing in Ranch classes at local shows, meeting friends for a Hunter Pace, hitting the trails with students, coaching in the arena- or one of her new favorite things- Cowboy Mounted Shooting! Kim spent more than 20 years in full time Kids & Family Ministry teaching kids and families in the local church. Coaching in the arena combines Kim’s love for teaching and horses. When Kim isn’t on a horse, she’s spending time with her awesome family or behind the lens of the camera.

Sarah Rhoads

Sarah Rhoads has been riding since before she was born- growing up in a horsey family. Sarah loves to show horses and is very competitive on the Driving Circuit. She also really shines in the Showmanship classes with her miniature horses. She is a fun and energetic coach that truly enjoys seeing growth in our students. In her free time, she loves to hang out with her husband, watch the Buckeyes and snuggles her two sweet pups, Bently & Brutus.

Harrison Mounts

Harrison is a life long animal lover who found a passion for riding several years ago at Stags Bend Farm. He has developed his skills in horsemanship and Western riding. He regularly competes in local shows where his favorite class is Barrel Racing. He is currently a student at The Ohio State University studying Agriculture Systems Management. His dream is to one day own and operate a farm of his own. Harrison is a wonderful and patient coach that enjoys investing in his students and helping them further their riding career. In his free time, you can find him at the gym or practicing Jiu-Jitsu.
